Yes, I think the staff is great too. I know all I am waiting on is my insurance. They have had it almost a month now, and they have said that all the paperwork is complete and just waiting the final approval. I am tired of waiting....Was really hoping to plan this around the holiday for my time off, etc...but oh well....

Good luck to you during your journey. Let me know how you do on the liquid diet.....you will be shedding some pounds I betcha!!!!

Hi, I'm new here, but am also from Indiana. I too am going to Team Bariatrics in Goshen, IN. I have four more months before my paperwork can be submitted for Insurance approval. This site has really been helpful in answering lot of questions that have come up in my search for info. and has helped me to feel that others are also going thru the same trials and need a helping hand from each other for support. I've been really pleased with the staff that I have worked with so far at Team Bariatrics, I've had my doctor consult and have worked with the Nurse Practioner, the Nutritionalist, the Exercise Trainer.

I feel I'm at the right place to pursue this. Good luck to each of you, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Take care.

Kimmie!! That's where I am going. Everyone over has been just great so far!!! Are you working with Chris? Have you been to one of their seminars? Even though I already know what I want, the seminars are nice because you can put a face with a name.

Well I had my surgery on May 30th. Today June 4th I feel great. Trying to drink plenty of Water my mouth is pretty dry. I did fine. In a little pain but I had graduation this weekend for my niece and was pretty busy. Dr. McEwen did a great job. All the staff at the clinic where great they went and got me balloons for my birthday. They are a great bunch of people there.

Sandi and group,

I had my surgery on the 30th as planned, and have had a good weekend. mY pain is allot less today, and I was able to hold a small graduation party for my daughter yesterday. Went to bed at 830 last night, but I made it. The doctors and the nurses at the surgery center were just awesome...couldnt of asked for nicer people.

To date my weight loss is moving the scale....i am so excited to weigh myself in the mornings.

Thanks for checking in on us.....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
