Sizzilng September Sleevers Monday Check In

Recommended Posts

good! no sweat pants in public!!!

I am happy to be getting into a few things I had hanging there in the "too tight" section.

I saw my nutritionist today, so that was good. I am down a few inches in waist and hips according to her tape measure. She said it's perfectly normal for where I am right now to be still having some trouble with foods, to take it slow, don't be afraid to try things again, even if I threw up the first time. lol... She suggested some soft flaky fish, hardboiled egg/mayo in the magic bullet for egg salad and same with chicken salad, so I will try that more. Also I told her I was sick of the Protein drinks and shakes, and she suggested putting the unflavored Protein powder into some mashed potatoes. Will try that tonight. She also suggested making choc. pudding and sneaking some Protein Powder into that.

I go back in 2 months to see her. I have tried to stay off the scale. My goal is to not get on again until Monday morning!! We'll see if I make it.

Happy Monday ladies!

Well, the past week I have improved alot. I am feeling better since I got anti-nausea medicine from my doctor last Wednesday. Eating and drink has been easier and I have introduced a few new foods to my new tummy. I plan to keep it up this week and add one or two things  My weight loss has been 1 freaking pound this week, which would really piss me off if I didn't know this kind of stall is normal. The good news is I have lost a lot of inches. Not sure how many, but I am wearing clothes that have not seen daylight in 2 years so I think it is up there. I am 2 days shy of 4 weeks post op and going back to work today (1/2 days this week). Kind of nervous. I have actually really enjoyed my time home, which surprised me since I am kind of a workaholic. But...it is back to the real world. All of my immediate co-workers know I have WLS so it should be ok. Hope everyone has a great week!

okey dokey. This is for Monday Oct 18. Caution this may be a TMI kind of a post.

Good news: I'm down another couple of pounds.

Bad news: I had to have a root canal this week and it has been painful. I was given some vicodin which I have taken. I think the vicodin has slowed my digestive process. Time will tell.

Great news: I'm gonna see Kathy Griffin tonight with my sweetie! ;)

I hardly eat. I think my little doggie is eating more than I do. I am not doing so well on the Fluid either. A couple of sips and I just don't want any more. I gotta force them down because there are too many bad things that could happen with too little Fluid.

I hope all of you are doing well. Can't wait to hear from you.

Cherise, great job!! There are lots of ways for us to measure our success... the scale is not the only one. Look how awesome you've done - wearing your smaller clothes whoot!!

Labrys, applause on the weight loss!!!! You go girl!! You know that's funny you mention the root canal. I had to have one a few weeks out too. All of my teeth felt like they were on fire... how weird huh? The pain is gone now, but I just wondered why that was. I think it was the malnutrition really.

As for me, this weeks plusses are I also have started to fit into my smaller clothes! What a huge motivator! Yay!! I am also now less than 100 Lbs to my goal weight. I'm getting there!

How is everyone else doing?? Check in you sizzling hot september sleevers!!

Hey everyone!! Good job on the successes!!! No root canal here for me, thank GOD! I can't take any more anxiety over any kind of procedures! lol....

Got weighed today and am exactly the same. How? I've puked most of what i've eaten!! I guess reading here.. it seems a lot of people have a stall around 3 or 4 weeks, so I won't get too upset.

Went back to work today and am tired!! Nice getting back into the routine though, and I had a much easier time getting my Water in! (Probably because I am talking all day and need to keep hydrated anyway for my throat!) I got my entire 64oz. pitcher of Water in!!! That is a first since surgery. I'm hoping getting my fluids will help start my weight loss again. Did fine eating too, though I'm afraid to try anything new, especially when I'm at work.

Have a good week everyone!

Hey everyone! Since I don't weigh in until Wednesdays, I thought I'd wait until then -- the last couple of weeks, I was stalling, losing 2 pounds one week, and then 1.4 last week, but . . . . drumroll please . . . . . I lost 6.6 pounds this week! Whoo whoo! :D I'm so happy that I did it -- and I did it by sticking to the plan and plugging along :)

And I'm also so thrilled all of us are doing so well -- GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

Wow. great job. you are an inspiration!!

I think I'm finally over the nausea stage. Part of it must have been caused by the antibiotic I had to take for my tooth. I had an eggbeater this morning. Yay for me. Yay for ALL of US.

Juli WOW GIRL!!! Congrats to you! I'm like you and weigh on Wednesdays.. that was the day I had surgery and like to stay off the scale unless there's a good reason. It seems to be working out great for me.

I actually lost 4.8 Lbs last week (today is my weigh day too) so I'm feeling great!! =) I'm back up to my two miles a day walks and I'm able to go faster and faster now. I really do feel incredible!!!

Labrys, so glad to hear you are over your nausea. I do still get it once in awhile. I have noticed though it was when I would try something with a lot of sugar or bad greasy fats. It does keep me on track, that's for sure! I hate nauseated feeling. Not worth that one bite of great flavor.. LOL

So where's all the other Sizzling Sept sleevers? I know there were so many of us...

Yay!! Good job wednesday weighers!!! I got on the scale today too and was down 2 pounds, so hopefully my stall is over too!

Saw my doc today. He gave me prevacid for acid reflux, so I'm starting that. He also talked about my left side pain, which I was jsut posting about in the post-surgery forum. Moved me onto stage 4, so regular foods for me, try one new food a day, take 30 minutes to eat, chew, chew, chew and go slowly, etc. I had some salmon tonight and some veggies, yum!! Did well with it and started my acid reflux meds, so hoping that will be gone. I also ate a normal lunch!! 2 oz. of deli turkey meat, 1 oz. of cheese, a few raspberries!! Yay I feel normal!!!

Happy Monday!

Well, my weight loss has been super slow. I lost 2 pounds last week, but untold inches because I am going through clothes like crazy. Not sure what that is about. I went to Jc Penny and bought a couple of sweaters and long sleeved t-shirts and for the first time in a long time I was not in the fat girl section!!! It felt so awesome to just buy and XL when a month a go I was wearing a 2X. I am not really exercising. Doc asked me to wait 6 weeks since my consumption is low. I also joined a brand new gym and it won't be open until next week so that works out well. I should be walking, but now that I am back to work I don't have time. I leave the house at 6:30am and don't get home until 6pm and I don't feel safe walking in the dark. Once the gym opens, I be going in at 4:30am. It's going to be fun :party4:

I know I am not consuming enough food. We (doc and I ) came to the conclusion that my sleeve is "extra" tight since I can't tolerate much at all. I have gotten so gun shy at eating since it so often doesn't agree with me. Doc said we could dilate my sleeve to make it bigger, but I don't really want to. I am afraid if we make it bigger now, it will eventually be too big and I will be able to eat too much. So I am coping, by eating a lot of very soft foods still. The only thing I added this week was chili and it went down fine. Oh, I also had a ravioli. It felt so odd cutting a freaking ravioli into four parts and eating it. My husband ate a whole plate in the time it took me to get down the one ravioli

Other than that, everything is going good. I see everyone is losing like crazy and it is awesome. I am enjoying my shrinking body!

Labrys here and checkin' in:

HW 238

SW 230

Last Week: 212

This Week: 212

I got a bit dehydrated this week and had to have Fluid IV. I could not stand drinking  as I got very nauseated with only a few sips. The nurse said go get an IV.

I'm pushing fluids now. I have found that chamomile tea goes down easy. I feel much better now.

I guess a stall at 3-4 weeks is common. I am not discouraged. I will NEVER EVER be this heavy again. That is a great feeling.

I am away from home for a few days, so I may not post much, but I will check in to see your posts.

GO GET 'EM Y'ALL!! :boxing:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
