#Protein in, I could do a little better on Water but I am getting the min. I haven't been exercising as much as I was before which is showing in how much I am NOT losing right now. I am still losing but not at the rate I was. I think I am losing maybe 1 to 1.5 pounds a week for the last 3 weeks. The most upsetting thing for me is that I don't have the endurance or energy I did. Can anyone help and give some advise?crying.gif

Hi guys... I have been doing really good the last 3 months but I have really had a hard time lately. My energy is down and my labs look ok (not great but ok). My labs were great and I was feeling tired too. One theory is that as ketosis sets in (from the high Protein low carb diet) around 3 months, we have more adjustments to go through. The other theory is less exercise = less energy. I went through that and it's hard to get out of because when you feel tired, you don't wanna exercise! But once I got back to it, my energy picked up again!

Hope it helps!

Thanks guys. I think I am going to take a few days and boost up the carbs for that time and see if it helps. Once that is done I will start back on the high Protein and the way things should be. We will see what happens.

I get to feeling kind of lethargic sometimes and when that happes I reflect on what I've been eating and I usually come to the conclusion that I'm not eating enough. Particularly not enough carbs. I add some calories and start feeling much better. I hope your strategy works.

take care

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
