-So I had my nut app today and I am down to 50lb lost since surgery. I have more energy and I feel better about myself. Although looking in the mirror I still see the same person. I personally don't see the weight loss but others do.

-I got into trouble with my nut because I am Not drinking enough during the day. I find it hard to make room for 64oz and eating enough food for the day. Also I have been getting nauseous and dizzy fairly often. So I need to start keeping track of when I get these feelings. To determine if its dehydration, low sugar levels or medication side effects.

-I was put on nausea medication to see if it helps and I also need to add more carbs to my diet. Overall I am doing better day by day. Its a lot of work and hopefully it will keep getting better for me!

Keep up the good work~~!! Definitely follow the doctor's orders. One step at a time you are rocking it~! You are inspiring me.. I am set for a date of September 13th and trying not to wig out and eat everything I can find ahead of time. You would think I am a starving person... I think the psychological comfort of food will be the hardest to kick for me.

That's awesome!!

How many calories are you eating per day?

Could it be your'e not eating enough and that's what's causing the dizziness?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
