Can VSG make you like your job????

Recommended Posts

I started a new job last year and I hate it. Its largely administrative, where I prefere to be a practitioner. The problem is.... admin pays significantly more.

Anyway... before surgery I was trying to get things straight in my head (psychologically speaking). I was trying to be realistic about what VSG would and would not change in my life. For instance, I repeatedly told myself that VSG was not going to make me love my job.

Well, turns out thats not quite true. I wouldn't say I love it, but I do like working now. Its easier without the morning humiliation of trying to squeeze into cloths I don't like that are too tight. I feel good about myself and enjoy going to work and interacting with my co-workers with confidence and style.

Weird... but I think VSG made me like my job.

stcyt, wow, what an interesting perspective. I do have mixed emotions with my job. I hope it happens for me to at least "tolerate" my job. :-/

I;ve found that VSG made me more optimistic about life, and I could see that carrying over into my job. If I'm in a better mood, I'm going to feel better about what I'm doing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
