fatigue and fills

Recommended Posts

:girl_hug: Does any one else suffer from fatigue right after fills. I know that I am not getting all the calories in that I need and I am just weak from it all. I tried to work out today and could only do about 1/2 of what I normally do. I just had my 3rd fill and am very happy with the restriction but can't get much down until the afternoon. I nurse a protien shake all morning and then have to really work on getting my Water in. I can eat cottage cheese and blueberries for dinner but not interested in eating much else. My restriction picks back up after 8 or so and I try to get down another Protein Drink but I think my calories are probably around 800-900. Is there anything that I can do to help my with my lack of energy?:(

I'm sorry, but how can you be happy with that? This is supposed to be a tool to help you eat well for the rest of your life, not starve yourself into fatigue and malnourishment. You cant live on cottage cheese and blueberries.

That is way too much restriction if that's all you're eating and your body is telling you so in no uncertain terms.

I'm sorry to be harsh, but I just think its nuts that people act like that's a good thing, being unable to eat all day. Not to mention that its possible that through being so tight you're at more risk of complications.

Cindy you need to get this sorted. Do you really think you can live long term like this?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
