Hi,

I am 13 days post of and have a question.

After I eat I have this feeling of food or liquid sitting at the back of my throat. It feel like I could throw up if I tried but it just sits there. After awhile it subsides and disappears.

It's kind of hard to describe but I have been using this as a sign of fullness. Is this true?

Thanks.

Will

I do believe that's one way to describe it.

For me it's not in my throat but right at the top of my tummy.

Whew... good.

It's hard to figure out the new sensations. I am currently trying to figure out head hunger and real hunger. That's a pickle.

I'm used to shoveling food in anytime, all the time that I forgot what real hunger felt like. Now I have to figure out what the new hunger is. lol..

That may be the reason. I still eat to fast.

I am having trouble slowing down. I'll have to work on that.

It took me a long time, you will get to a place (as long as you eat slowly and pay attention) where you can recognize the bite that is one bite away from discomfort. Once you've hit the discomfort or it feels like its in your throat you've gone too far. You will get it. Pay attention to your body.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
