restriction question.....

Recommended Posts

tomorrow will mark my 2 weeks since my surgery.

last night i decided to try some fat free refried Beans with a little bit of cheese mixed in.

i took small bites and set my fork down in between bites. i think it took me about 20 mins or more to eat them.

i didn't measure out the Beans when i put them on a plate. i just used a small spoon and scooped out two spoonfulls.

i was able to eat all of them with no problems. in fact, i didn't feel restriction at all.

is this normal for this early out? could it been the beans i was eating? i'm hoping to feel restriction when i try some tuna or canned chicken.

I ate refried Beans at first and they just slid right down. I didn't keep real close tabs but I would bet that my diest was higher in calories durring the mushie stage than it is now.

Mushies are just too easy to eat. Once you are all healed up and you are getting most of your Protein from food you'll be fine. I can eat about 4 oz of chicken and some veggies and I am full and satisfied for hours (full to the point of not being able to get in another bite). I'm pretty sure I could eat 8oz of refried beans if I tried (over 20-30min).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
