I could really use a supportive buddy...

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone....I could really use a mentor friend...I have had the VSG almost 6months ago...but feel that I dont have anyone I can talk to about my surgery...or feelings relating to my surgery...or just the changes that I am going through....feels like nobody really understands. I would really love a buddy or buddy's that I would be willing to email or Facebook. I would appreciate the support. :frown1:

Hey Jenn! I know what you mean about nobody other than those on this forum understanding. My family & friends are supportive, but don't really get it at the same time. Feel free to email me at randi.wedekind @ gmail . com. I have Facebook as well, but my settings are set to make me unfindable, so if you'd rather Facebook, just PM or email me your name. :)

Just check in here every day. We are here for you. If you click on user cp at the top, it will bring you to this thread you started. If you send me a private message, I would be happy to give you my email address.

You won't find more supportive people anywhere! You've come to the right place!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
