Got my date too!

June 28th... can't wait...

Judy

Excellent! I expect nearer the time there will be quite a few more too....I'm trying to get my pre op diet out of my dietician before I go for my pre op tests, not sure I'll manage tho, so may have to wait until 21st before I know how long the pre op diet is for.

The suspense is killing me as I know they can vary SO much!!!

But I guess we'll just have to be patient!

Good luck

My doctor only requires one day of pre-liquids but wants me to lose weight before surgery so I have been pretty good. I was freaking out yesterday because I was back up to my weight from 5 days ago but then I realized it was TOM and most likely Water weight. This morning I was back down 3 pounds.

Zephra - I'm still waiting to hear my fate on the pre op diet..... I go for pre op tests on 21st May, so will meet with the dietician then, trying to get the diet out of her now but think she wants to chat more first.

The pre ops vary so much I'd rather know what I'm in for!!

Lessofme2010 - you're the day before me... and yeah.. good luck to us all!

Not sure yet. Waiting for Insurance approval. They have 30 day to respond. May 29th will be the 30 day mark. Surgeon said 4 to 6 weeks after approval. That would put me at end of June to Mid July. This waiting is painful. Can't wait to be on the loser's bench !!!

June 30th....I too work for the school system, so figured it would be best if I waited until summer break. It is killing me though....I want to be on the losing side soooooo badly!

You know, I was looking through posts last night I came across one about NSV (non scale victories). I read page after page of things that people can now do or wear and the more I read, the more excited I got. I feel like I won the lottery and am just waiting to pick up my check. Never thought I would be excited about someone cutting 85% of my stomach out. Come on June 30th.

I am shooting for June 8th or June 9th. I have already had the consult, they just have to do the paperwork. I have a few work engangements that I can't get out of the rest of May, and my 14 year old is have her "8th grade graduation" the first week of June. I should be coming home in time to Celebrate my 50th birthday on June 11th. I guess no cake for me!! I see alot of Texas folks on here. We need to have a sleeve get together!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
