I was wondering what you guys are doing for energy or what you have done for energy. I'm 6 weeks out and I just have no energy. I am exercising. Walking 4 times a week. My babies take all my energy. Did you take something just to get you through your work out? Like 5 hour Energy?

I was low on energy for a while. Some days wouldn't be as bad as others. I wasn't taking Iron & B12 and once I started, it seems to have really made a difference. Are you taking any Iron or B12? If not I'd suggest trying both of those.

I own an antique store that I work at on the weekends, and for a while I was so tired and had no energy I was wondering if I could keep it up.

I agree on trying an Iron supplement if you can. I know I felt like my butt was dragging all the time because I wasn't able to get my iron supplement down without feeling nauseous. I switched to a chewable and now my energy level has gone WAY up!

i think my doctor is against takin suppliments in advance.

when i asked him he told me to only take them after the blood test and only if there is something low or missing.

Hi tdriver,

I think Iron is prescribed particularly for women, so that may be a part of it. I think Calcium may be the same way. :001_tongue:

Thanks for the advice. I just bought me a chewable Iron. I hope this helps. Midwest girl your profile pic looks great. Congrats on the weight loss.

Hopefully the Iron does the trick! It only took a couple days for me to feel a nice change in energy. :001_tongue: And thank you very much! I didn't even notice how different my face looked until one of my friends showed me that picture! :blushing: I can see the change in your pic too! Keep up the good work, girl!

Mary, no I don't get enough sleep. I have a 4 month old baby. Last night I took my Iron pill and my baby slept all night for the first time. I actually got 8 hours of uninterupted sleep last night. Its been a long time since that happened. I feel like a completely different woman!!!

Have you ever tested for sleep apnea? I had no idea I had it until the end of January. I can sleep for 8 hours and be as tired when I wake up as I was when I went to bed. I am doing my CPAP trial tomorrow night. I am hoping that when I have lost most of my extra weight, I will be able to wean off the machine. I used it briefly during my first sleep study and loved the extra oxygen.

New babies are a challenge tho : ) Hopefully the Iron and baby sleeping all night will do the trick!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
