I LOVE 501s. I found a pair that were reduced in the January sales and although they were too small I grabbed them as I can't resist a bargain being the tight fisted Scot that I am. They are now slightly too big but the slouchy, 'boyfriend' look is fine with me so I wear them with my Frye boots which now actually fit me! I couldn't get them up my legs before I had surgery but I found them on eBay a couple of years ago, brand, spanking new and going for a song so just had to buy them. Isn't it great wearing fun clothes again after wearing things that could be used as camping equipment-i. e. tents!!!! I'm back in heels again too but, dearest Dub, I don't advise them for you. Mind you, whatever floats your boat................. x

I'm two months out from surgery. At my gym last night, part of the workout was a 15 minute timed run. I thought well, I guess I'll just see what I can do. As I was running, I kept increasing my speed because I was not fatigued.

I did 1.65 miles in 15 minutes...that's a 9:05 minute mile. It felt awesome to see that number...still smiling about it.

Here is one for all of the shorties to look forward to.

I was buying t-shirts at a concert. Kids $25, adults $30 or.... 2 kids shirts for $35.

Tried on the biggest kids size, too big. Tried the next one down, perfect fit.

Yes, I am a tight arse

The arm band I use for my cell phone when I am walking/running and working out now fits comfortable and doesn't slide and move like it used to because it is actually secure because my arm is smaller. :D

I wear the same size panties I wore in HS and College but I am 40-50lbs heavier :P

Wearing short shorts and tank tops in the 100 degree heat and still feeling cold :( Okay not really sure that is a victory but being 1/2 naked in the summer is a lot of fun.

My BMI is finally in the "normal" range!!!!!!

And I went shopping over the weekend and did another closet clean out....I fit into and bought a size small black pencil skirt!!!!!! A SMALL!!!!!!

I weight less than I did in the 5th grade. And In middle school I was wearing adult XXLs. So to now fit into a small....is just unbelievable for me. :)

I had my surgery in April of this year... went to the doctor last week to find out how my new lab work came back..

last year my cholesterol was 196, this year is 169

last year my a1c was 6.5, this year is 5.6 :)

not sure what my fasting blood sugar was last year, but this year it was 98! My fasting number was always the hardest for me to get under control...even back years ago when I was on insulin and metformin, I still could never get it in the "normal" range...so seeing that 98 was fantastic... almost as good as seeing on the lab report in black and white "the patient is no longer diabetic"! Woohoo!!

That had to be the best non-scale victory for me to date!

My blood pressure was 106/64. I'm off my prilosec. I've gone from size 22/24w down to 16/18w in pants, shorts and bathingsuits.. shirts I can wear just regular XL and L instead of the 1X & 2X's that I had been in. My shoes are all falling off my feet..even my flipflops are too big lol. And soon I may need to get my wedding and engagement rings resized... that's crazy.. I was in a panic before surgery trying to get them off. I hadn't been able to get them off in at least 3 years. Now they're spinning on my finger all day long. And I went from the large fitbit band to the small one!

I had my surgery on May 11th, and caught a plane for the first time yesterday. My seatbelt has a large tail, and the aisles seem much wider and the toilet is now quite roomy. This is the best feeling ever. People ask if I have any regrets because I can only eat such small amounts and it's things like this that make me say HELL NO!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
