Opening the door

Recommended Posts

Thought its time to invade some privacy, so i'm opening bearded's room door...

Fresh male here, saying hello to all. Wish there was a simple "introduce urself"section. I find "tell ur story"too dramatic hehe...no story to tell, just hoping I did the right choice.

Hi ladies and thanks for the welcome.

Yes I got sleeved on the 17th of july. As you have probably figured, I'm still in the full liquids stage.

I'm still not pain free, but I do sense it gets a little better everyday. Going back to work in less than a week and REALLY hoping these cramps and aches will vanish soon enough.

Hi susan, bearded m8 and angel, his better half  very happy to meet u all, I wasnt expecting such a nice welcome.

I will surely update u on how things go. By the way, I live far away...the other side of this planet, but was drawn to this place cos I've been reading a lot of what everyone had to say...including the VSG section on the lapband forum. Your stories played a major role in the decision to get sleeved. God bless

Hey burn....was glad to see this men's site and also glad to find some men posted as I've mostly found female VSG patients on some other sites.

I had my VSG July 28 and feel awesome. No pain, no nausea, no nothing. I feel really lucky. Was 345 at my highest and just yesterday dropped below 300 (I didn't think it was ever going to happen).

Just wanted to say hi and hope we can talk some time.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
