Well, I have another date. I've always heard that the 3rd time is the charm. Dh and I will be leaving on our 7 hour flight on Sept. 30th. Tickets are booked and paid for and date cleared with Nina. I will be missing 3 days of work but don't have to be back till October 13 due to fall break.

Hubby was told last week that he would be laid off this week. Things will be tough for awhile but we decided to go ahead with the surgery, I have canned a lot of fresh vegs. from my garden and hubby has a freezer full of blackberries and a hog he killed. He always gets a deer too. Plus I have over 100 chickens. I plan to down size on the chicks though, so I won't have to buy a lot of feed for them this winter. Can you tell I live in the country? I have a hillbilly accent to go along with it. Sorry for rambling.

Just wanted to share my new date.

Have a nice and restful Sunday afternoon. Judy

Congratulations Judy - third time will be the charm. Sorry to hear about your hubby's layoff- however, God will provide and it sounds as though you've got a good head start on things. Take care and thanks for sharing your news.

Its wonderful about your date. I am soooo happy for you. Its really unfortunate about the layoff bu you will be saving on your grocery bills. I am from the country too and very familiar with putting up the fruits and veggies. Made any pickles this summer?

Judy, congratulations on getting your date! It won't be long now.

As the others have said, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's layoff. These are definitely trying times, but I am sure you will get through it. You sound like you guys have a great attitude and a plan in place.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Yes Ruthi, I have pickles. I have canned 3 gallons sweet pickles

16 pints dill pickles

8 pints salsa

35 quarts of veg beef Soup with tomatoes, green Beans, new potatoes, onions, cabbage, corn cooked with lean beef stew meat, plus seasoning.

18 pks. frozen greens

5 gals. frozen blackberries

12 pks. frozen yellow squash

100 lbs potatoes dug

Plus the apples I will put up later. My watermelons will be getting ripe in about 2 weeks.

I am having to buy my fresh corn this year because we have been over run with coons.

I have extra vegs that I have been sharing with friends. So come on over and I will share with you too. I've also got some extra brown eggs if you like those too.

Have a good day! Judy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
