Success Diet for Bandsters!!

Recommended Posts

If you try it, let us know how it works!! I definately think it is hard to gain weight with the band & if this diet gets the weight off - then maybe we got it home free. I can hardly eat any meat without PBing. I'd like to know just exatly what you DO eat on this diet.

Anyone out there actually tried this? Share your food list!

i am on day 2 of the low-carb plan. i'm not doing the appetite suppressants but from my experience doing the low-carb thing in the past, the lack of sugar keeps me from being very hungry.

yesterday, breakfast:

- coffee with half and half and 1 equal

- a boiled egg

lunch:

- 3oz pork chop

dinner:

- 1/3 head lettuce w/ bacon bits, chives and bleu cheese

i'm not doing the totally radical stance of NO veggies, but i think i'm going to try to stick to lettuces b/c they're mostly Water. i'll keep you guys updated.

I went to Dr. Fox's seminar once back before banding was done in the states. (seminar for bypass). He does like "his" girls skinny.

One of the things that his office would make you sign is an agreement that once you made goal that you would go to an image consultant to help you pick out a new look for yourself -- hairstyle, makeup, wardrobe, etc. I actually think that's a great idea and I will probably do it, even though I didn't get my surgery through his office. [eta: I don't know if he still does this]

<< snipped; I probably shouldn't state my opinion of Dr. Fox here >>

why not state your opinion of dr. fox here. he doesn't pay the bills for lapbandtalk! and i'm not being snide.

Niche - how's the low carb diet going? I saw that you ate pork chop. Are you able to get that down okay? I'm very curious to see if this really is sucessful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
