Diet off track

Mac where do you find fage yogurt? Is that something you find in a health food store or a regular ol grocery store?

I love laughing cow cheese too. It's great for only 35 calories. I sometimes put it on those carckers I like.

I really appreciate all the suggestions. I did find that slim fast has a new high protien bar that has 15mg of protien and <200 CAL.

1 container of silken tofu at room temp

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 to 2 squares unsweetened chocolate (melted)

stevia or equal to taste

It's listed on page one of this thread. Apparently, the tofu has directions on it on how to prepare it before you start adding the other ingredients. I haven't tried it yet.

take a package of silken tofu at room temperature, put it in a blender with cocoa powder, unsweetened chocolate and sweetener to taste. Make sure you rinse the tofu adequately per package directions. I add the unsweetened chocolate first then the cocoa powder one spoonful at a time with the sweetener to suit my taste. The first time I made it, it was just too chocolately so I use one square instead of two to 4 as the original recipe calls for. I substituted cocoa powder instead due to the fat in the chocolate squares. It is about 100 cal or less per dessert cup.

You can buy low carb yogart its about 3 to 4 carbs. I get mine from Ralphs but I am sure they are carried by other markets.

What's the brand? I've check Albertson's and Smith's (Kroger) and they don't have any low carb

I get my FAGE at my supermarket. They hide in the "Natural" foods section though, not the regular yogurt section.

I'll have to check Von's they seem to have a refrigerated natural section - Albertson's doesn't.

If not, you'll just have to bring some with you when you come to Las Vegas -- special delivery you know? :001_tongue:

Hello,

I'm new here and I've been through what you are going through many times. I'm over a year out and I'm down 117 pounds. I hate the Protein Shakes and in the beginning I would vomit from drinking them because they grossed me out. The only kind that I can tolerate is the Body fortress brand chocolate flavor at Walmart. I mix mine with 8 oz. of 1% milk and I stir it up and this sounds gross but I let mine sit for a while before drinking it. I still can't stand it but I know that in order to get enough Protein I have to drink one per day. Today I had for Breakfast 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 2 pieces of string cheese. For lunch I had 1/2 cup of tuna with a little miracle whip and some mixed veggies. For snack I had an apple and one piece of string cheese. Supper 3/4 cup of Hormel chili. Snack slice of cheese. Then I had a Protein Shake. 64 oz. of Water and now I'm eating 2 pieces of string cheese. I don't count fat grams I eat as much cheese as I want. I don't count calories either. My secret to success with this surgery has been cheating all along. I cheat about every 3 - 4 days then I get back on track and start losing again. I just started eating fruit because my blood sugar started to drop and I had vision changes so now I have to eat more complex carbs. I love carbs but they zap me of all my energy. I feel great as long as I follow my diet. Don't beat yourself up you can get back on track. You are human and still need to enjoy the same foods you enjoyed before but now you just have to stop yourself before it gets out of hand. I hope this helps. Lisa

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
