you need to heal before the weight loss work begins...if thought this was going to be a quick fix you'll be disappointed just follow the plan as you doctor set out and yes you will be hungry until you start to get some fills in 4-6 weeks...keep drink and get that protient in and all the Water that will help but you haven't really started the program work as yet.

I tend to forget to eat! Like today I totally forgot to have lunch, just wasn't hungry. Now I'm trying to get all my Protein in, thus a 30 gram Protein Drink for me! But I only got 800 calories in. I need to stay more aware of eating.

YES!!!!! I have to remind myself to eat all the time...and if I am busy I will forget all together...I have gone 24 hrs without a decent meal...especially with a busy day at work, where I won't get home till late...and I have a rule never to eat after a certain hour so I just skip it....

I am never hungry and do not have an interest in eating....for me, that's aall part of the Green Zone....

If you are feeling normal hunger your band is likely empty. I had 5cc put in at surgery and wasn't that hungry at all after surgery. I think my first fill was around 4 months. Each surgeon is different. Do your best to stay in your calories and have faith in the fill process. You will get there.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
