You all know that feeling of fullness that happens in your stomach when you've had enough to eat..? Mine just disappeared! I'm not getting tht feeling anymore.. I've had 2 fills and still in a stage of bandaged hell. Although I was feeling some sort of fullness after a while of eating.. Now I don't. Idk how to explain it any better, but has anyone else experiences this??

Yes, mine started two weeks ago. I had excellent restriction up until then...now I know it's time for my second fill. Completely normal and thankfully fixable!

As long as you're not having any trouble with acid reflux or pain or anything else noticeable like that, you've probably just gotten looser because you've lost some weight. In rare cases you can have a leak but 95% of the time when you lose restriction it's just from the swelling going down and your stomach becoming leaner. I wouldn't be too worried about it. I had this happen over and over and over again until I finally lost all my weight and got my band very full.

This happens as you lose weight. There is fat around your internal organs as well, so as that goes away you will need to continue receiving fills. As you progress in your journey, fills will be less frequent but until then you just need to stick with the rules given by your surgeon and continue to go in for fill appointments.

Thank you! I feel a lot better! I was assuming the worse, but am feeling much more confident. (:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
