Yesterday I did an hour's walk on the treadmill - I needed to do some reading for uni and I wanted to get my exercise in. Unfortunately I couldnt walk any faster than 5.5 km/hr and still be able to read, so I upped the incline to 6. It felt OK, I took my pulse when I finished and it was 90 - WHOA, have I gotten fitter or what?

Just goes to prove all that baloney about walking being better than jogging is just that, baloney. When you've gotten fit you cant even get into your fat burning zone walking uphill!

Anyhow, not wasted time, it still burned 500 calories, and warmed me up nicely for my Bella Strength DVD - which is a pretty hard hour of Body Pump style weights.

Today will be an interval training program on the treadmill.

My question is,what do you all have to eat before working out?My trainer wants me to eat carbs! I try to eat 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal. But it is very hard to get down early in the AM. I am also suffering from Charlie horses at night! so the suggestion was to eat bananas. Will I don't think I can have more than a half of a small one. You think that will be enough. My doctors program is NOTHING WHITE to eat. Hope I can get some ideas.. Heading out for 7 AM work out. I love going to the gym.. Never in my life would I have said that before!!!. Catch you all later!!!!

I have 1 serving of Isopure. When I worked with a trainer back in 1995, he told me to immediately follow up weight training and cardio with a baked potato. I am not sure why, but I need to find out. I'll post soon when I know. I'm curious now.

Hi

I recently been banded so I am walking everyday. I be honest is the most excersice i done in a long time. I proud of my efforts and hope to be as successful as all of you. :clap2:

Well, I've been wearing my pedometer and I read that 10,000 steps is about 5 miles. I did 9,000 today! Yeah! I'm trying to do 10,000.

Ok, Im back! I got my work out room together and it looks great! I had more equipment that I thought!! So, here is what I have been doing. 10 minutes on everything. I know it doesnt sound like much...but I have got to start somewhere! I plan on building up the times every week!!

And I just want everyone to know that I have gone down from a mens size 44 to...a 40! Doesnt sound like much...but man..does it look good!! I even got on a 38...but was too tight to wear in public!!. I was a womans 24 when I got my surgery and now Im easily a 20...I even got an 18 on. WOW..I feel good!!

Thanks everyone!

Are you ..stripping? Or are you just going to dance... or are you seducing? I can't tell which one you are incenuating.:guess

Julie, that's great girlie. Keep up the cardio and focus on the muscle groups. Really take your time with the weight training. Don't rush it. Feel each muscle working as you lift. Concentrate on those biceps  I hope you show us one day some crazy Arnold Schwartzneggar pecs and biceps! LOL
