I was banded 4-30-13 and have only had 1 fill so far. I feel restriction but not a lot. It feels like I can eat a lot, like the food passes through easily. I have never been stuck so bad to where I have had to have food come up. If I ever feel stuck (get hiccups real bad and wont stop) I can ALWAYS just wash it down with a big gulp of Water and then its like I haven't eaten anything. Has anyone else been at this "stage" before? Do I just need a fill? I don't want to over eat and stretch out my stomach but I am terrified of getting stuck and having PB. I HATE throwing up. lol. I have lost 30lbs so far and only have maybe 20-30 to go. I'm not gaining any weight and not losing either. I just want to make sure I'm not messing up.

Bandster Hell is very real and I white knuckled it until I got enough Fluid in my band to feel a difference. I am at about 5.5cc in a 10cc band and quite frankly, I probably could use a tad more. Talk to your surgeon and he will guide you in the right direction. Good luck!

When I'm in the green zone, Water doesn't dislodge food that's stuck. It makes it MUCH worse. So I would say you're not in the green zone if you can 'wash it down' with Water.< /p>

And I hate throwing up too. I don't know anyone in the right mind who would like it lol. So that should be a good deterrent from you ever wanting to get to that point. Chew well and stop before you get to the point of being uncomfortable. You'll figure how where that point is soon enough. :)

If you have lost that much since banding you are doing fine. Let the PBing and getting stuck scare you. I have never gotten stuck, but have felt like I ate to much at a time and yes could wash it through, but was certainly a wake up to eat less and slower. You just have to stick to the rules. Being able to eat more doesn't mean get a fill, just restrain yourself. You seem to be doing well. Being too filled is dangerous too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
