Thanks Shelly...never would have figured that out!!!!!! ;)

Congrats everyone on the NSV's....I realized yesterday that I need smaller bras, they are as thigh as I can get them, and I still have no support! Wait is that a NSV or am I going to need a boob job????

Oh well!

i would consider it a NSV!!!

i was talking about a boob job this morning with bf! i just want to be full perky c's! i am that now (not super perky) down from d's but i am afraid they'll head south as i lose! bf of course says do what you want so i am planning on it! i'll get a tt before that though! that will be top priority!

Thanks for explaining NSVs. When I first read Alexandra's, I thought, hmmm, I can figure it out, but I couldn't!

I have had a mini NSV - my wedding rings, they're comfortable for the first time in years! My birthstone ring is spinning around. It does seem more real than scale weight.

I'm exactly one month post op, had my one month follow-up with my internist, and was surprised that I've lost 18 lbs.! I don't have a scale, and the last time I weighed myself at my sister's I had a week of no weight loss, preceded by a week of a weight gain! Can't wait to begin feeling more comfortable in my clothes.

My rings are so loose I can't even wear my mothers-day ring at all. And I've had to reverse my engagement and wedding bands so that the engagement ring is closer to my palm--it will fall off otherwise and I couldn't survive that!

When even the wedding band is too loose to do guard duty I'll have them all resized. ;)

I recall that feeling when I have lost weight in the past... what a great feeling it must be to know that the baggy clothes will just get baggier and you can safely pack them up and give them away! I'm personally looking forward to finding my belly button again... I know it's there somewhere! ;)

"thumbs up"

Darcy

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
