The 2nd Annual Texas Bandster Bash & Wellness Conference is fast approaching.

Join us on Galveston Island for pre-session festivities on THURSDAY APRIL 22. Sessions run from FRIDAY MORNING APRIL 23 through SUNDAY AFTERNOON APRIL 25. This will be a weekend of Bandster-centric social and educational events. Visit

We have more than 15 medical professionals as confirmed speakers, along with specialists in the areas of physical fitness, fashion and makeup. Bandsters will lead discussion sessions on topics ranging from Men's Issues to What to expect

if you're expecting(and Banded).

Our Thursday night pre-festivities promises to be a special event for Early Bird arrivals. $20 covers the cost of the entire evening, so be sure to sign up for it when you register!

EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE is MARCH 30 for both the conference and to take advantage of the conference hotel rates. Complete the form on the web site today and be sure to save the extra fees. www.texasbandsterbash.com/register.htm

Call 1-800-Wyndham or (409)763-0300 as soon as possible to make a reservation at the historic Tremont House or the Hotel Galvez, both on beautiful Galveston Island. When you call, mention the Texas Bandster Bash or Lone Star Bandsters to take advantage of our special rates.

Those who prefer to pay their conference registration by check may download and print the form. All mailed registrations must be postmarked by MARCH 30.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
