@LJ, yes I am measuring all my meals, I carry a 64 oz jug of Water with me at all times and I walk 1 hr 3 nights per week. I am unfortunately under tremendous stress and I cant sleep most nights. I haven't seen my surgeon in 6 wks and I need to meet with nut. I bought a fancy scale thats weighs bmi, Water weight etc. but it didn't work, it kept saying I was 5'7. Lol! Well I made a double appt for nut and surgeon for next thursday! I pay my surgeon to help me with my weight soo I have to face him! Wish me luck!

Hey PK, the new posted pic looks great : ) I have found there are 3 pillars to Health:

food Plan

Exercise

sleep

It really sounds like you have the food side nailed down pretty well and as you said the Sleep pillar is a challenge due to Stress (which in turn complicates the Cortisol problem) and you are logging some time on exercise. I am confident that tweaking your exercise will get you over this current weight/scale issue and as a Bonus help the Sleep (Stress) problem.

I am glad to make recommendations of manageable tweaks to your exercise you can start with right away if you are interested - just let me know.

It's happening for you... new life ; )

Hope in your Future is Power in Your Present!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
