Today was all about getting ready for surgery tomorrow and making sure I have all my meds and stuff I will need. I went grocery shopping and stocked up on Jello, sugar free Popsicles, broth, and Water. I was going to get my Protein Shake mix, but GNC was closed, oh well I still have some and I will have hubby pic up more. I was still at the same weight today, but my clothes feel loose. I had a really bad asthma attack today which is unusual for me. I also think I have a bladder infection which I don't know how, because I drink so much freakin water. I'm going to have to tell the nurse tomorrow and hopefully they don't cancel my surgery over a bladder infection. I'm excited and ready to get this over with and start my next chapter in my life. I'm off to bed now I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Surprising I'm calm and they haven't gave me any meds to calm me down yet. I think taking my Xanax at 11:59 pm helped. I thought I was going to get meds as soon as I got here. Looks like my going home the same day turned into overnight since I'm having a hernia repair :(

I had my surgery..YAY!!! I don't remember being in the recovery room or even being taken up to my room. I remember waking up in my room still kind of out of it. I was in surgery for 3 hours. When I did come to I had a lot of pressure and pain in my chest from the hernia repair. My stomach area is real sore, but tolerable with the meds. The worst part is getting up or breathing in deep. I think I have 5 incisions, 1 is more bigger than I thought it would be. The incisions were stitched on the inside and glued on top. I have been feeling real nauseous and can't really drink anything so I have been sucking on ice chips. I have been sleeping a lot. The surgery center I'm at is awesome, they have been making me feel as comfortable as possible. I have this heating pad with hot Water in it on my abdomen right now. My husband also gets to stay the night with me which is so wonderful, he is such a big help and I don't feel alone. I'm going to get some more rest now. If anyone had any questions feel free to ask.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
