Thanks Labwalker, I'm beginning to get the hang of it. We're retraining our brains! @ Areomech, GL I hope all goes well! :-) You will prob get slight swelling once you get a fill so just be aware that what you feel initially may likely subside....I am beginning to understand "head hunger" and drink Water (45 min-hr after eating) everytime I "feel" the need to eat even after I've already eaten.(head hunger or boredom hunger) smh old habits die hard but I know it'll get easier as I get back into fun activities that once kept me busy and fit.

Just an update' date=' I regained control and lost the 4lbs plus 1lbs. I received my first fill yesterday 4/12/13 and that brings me to 4cc. I feel slight swelling but I'm hopeful that I will feel some restriction once it goes away. I will work my hardest to chg my poor old habits. I thank you all for your encouragement![/quote']

Way to go. I am still struggling with changing my poor habits. This is a life style change and it's going take time to adjust. I have to keep my head in check DAILY. IT DOES GET BETTER!!!!!!

Dont get discouraged! I didn't have success from my band until 9cc's. That's why its adjustable. Everyone is different. My fist 3 months I only lost 10 total. My 4th month after my 9cc fill, I lost 13 and I feel encouraged and fantastic! Keep at it, keep getting your fills! It works!!!!

I've been MIA, went back to work and have been running ragged ever since lol...I just got my second fill today bringing me to 5cc and -4lbs. The weight is coming off slowly but I'm on track. I am integrating more excercise and finding workout buddies. Haven't had time to log meals in the meal tracker but will try to get back on track with that...its just so tedious at times. Anyway thx for reading! :-)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
