Be Careful What you Wish for...

Restriction that is, you just may get it.

Got a .3 fill on Wednesday and ate something this evening that I have had absolutely no problem with in the past (chicken thighs). Mistress Band threw a hissy fit and I know know what being stuck and PBing feels like. Back to liquids for a day or two, and a hell of a lot more careful.

I hear ya brother.

After my last fill, everything has changed.

Gotta eat slower, smaller and more aware.

I was just telling some LB friends, I've learned eating in my car equals hurling in my car. Have a stash of papertowels and plastic bags.

On the plus side, I don't have to log the calories from that chicken thigh.

LOL, Just today was trying to figure out how many calories of 240 were left?

Bad part was it was bumper to bumper traffic, couldn't get over to pull off and knew everyone parked around me could see what was going on. There's no way to PB discreetly in a traffic jam.lol

Just a thought, you probably have a little swelling just because of the act of just getting the fill and then the fill too. That is why many bariactric centers advise people to go on liquids then full liquids then mushies for at least 3 days. Also it is advised to do the same for an unfill because of possible swelling. It is just something we never know how our bodies and band will react so I guess the theory is better safe than sorry. Anyway, you are wise to do liquids since you got stuck so your band area can settle down.

For newbies, you are absolutely correct.

It's been 4wks since my last fill and after no restriction for months, I got kinda lazy. Time to play by the rules!

It is no fun PBing in the car, and neither is pulling over to PB!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
