Lump

I am 1 1/2 weeks post surgery and under one of my scars it's a lump. It's the same incision they used on my first surgery and I was thinking it was scar tissue. Will it go away?

Well first, I had no idea that emoticon meant wacko. So it's just a misunderstanding. She can call off her dogs now.

Those that know you, know that it was a misunderstanding.

Keep doing what you do best.:D:P

Man I was reading this thread hoping it was about the song "Lump" by The Presidents of the United States of America. Great song. And oh yeah, nothing thus far has been rude in this thread but the post about tmf being rude.

OK, so I had to look up that Lump song. Here you go forensic:

Nice!! I always get a chuckle out of 90s videos :). That band was just a step above Weird Al--no parodies but close enough. Thanks tmf for the assist :)

Reminds me of some of the punk bands of the mid 80's.

I have no dogs... I didn't ask anyone to say anything. Can't you just let it go.... I'm here for support not an argument.

My port is located NO WHERE near any of the five incisions I had during my surgery!! And the port location is easily felt. I can't believe some of the silly answers given so far :(

Just to let you know my port IS right at my incision. So you sound kind of silly

okay I have never perceived tmf as being rude.. I think he was direct, but not rude.. I too wondered if there was a mistake during surgery like leaving the old port.. but I truly do not think he is repeatedly rude... everyone needs to lighten up and if you need help give as many details as you can so advice can be given ... I have found everyone to be very helpful...jmo

Yours may be, by mine is a good five inches above the closest incision,

Often there is scar tissue under incisions... especially when the re-open one. I would find some vitamin e and try massaging it once or twice daily. If it is still bothering you ask you surgeon for advice.

If you were to take poll, and I have seen threads addressing this, you would see that the MAJORITY of bandsters have a larger insicion near there port area. Of course, as swelling goes down, and weight is lost, then yes, the port location may move from the incision. BUT, the largest incision is due to putting the port in/sweing into the muscle. There are no silly answers, just rude people.
