I live in Dallas and would like to go on a date....

Recommended Posts

So catchy huh?! No but serious! I live in Dallas and I've been dating but it's hard to sit and have a meal because I'm banded. So If i would date maybe a fellow bandster It would be a little bit less of a painful process. So serious, lets date. Anyone can post on here if they want to date each other too. No pressure. Lets be friends- friends! Bold maybe? BUT ready for sure!

I live in the DFW area too. I think it would be kinda neat if this turned out to be a DFW Band dating thread lol  .

I'm not into dating(married) but I can definitely understand. I went Friday night to the Denver Auto Show with my son and his GF. We had a couple of pulled pork sandwiches and I cut mine in half and was only able to eat half of my half before I got stuck. Not a lot of fun and of course, unbanded people have no idea what we go through.

I'm in DFW area, single, and dating...

And if any of the ladies would like to go out to club on ladies night let me know. I used to drag my sister with me until she moved in with her BF. I just hate going to clubs alone.

Hey girls, although im not in Dallas, well actually not even on the same continent-i just wanted to say its a great idea and i love reading about lapbanders outside of Australia & New Zealand. Theres not much of a support group or an active group of any kind in NZ(where i currently live) that i can see, so im just going to live vicariously through you all :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
