There are very few things I cannot eat.. Skins on fruit or meat arent good for me... rice as much as I love it isnt a good choice for me but many others do well with it.... Tough meats are just too much effort but other than that.... I can eat anything. I just dont chose to fill up on breads and Pasta but I do have them on occasion.

You might try making a week's worth of menus which change up your selections. Its a good tool to plan your meals anyway so as to track your calories.

I can eat anything I want? I'm not sure what you mean by lapband friendly. Like low carb? Low calorie?

I can eat anything but breads. I even eat pizza (toppings only). The biggest problem I have is eating too fast. Thats where i get in trouble. Good luck with your journey.

I can pretty much eat anything, except spaghetti. not ziti, rigatoni, just plain thin spaghetti. i now love brown rice sushi. three pieces only 80 calories.

You should be able to tolerate any food by now. Just eat in moderation... weigh and/or measure your servings.

Does anyone have trouble with carbonated drinks? I used to love coke zero but now get left shoulder pain after drinking it :(

I am not much of a cook so I like egg whites and cheese in the morning. Turkey burgers or hamburger sometimes (w or w/o bun), meatballs, sausage and peppers, small Pasta (ditalini) on occasion, chicken tacos w/ pico de gallo and ff kraft cheese, sushi, chinese chicken and brocolli on occasion, 1 slice of plain pizza w/ antipasta salad, chicken parm, salads, Soups, chilli, avacados, corn on the cob. I go easy on carbs and high fat foods, prepare foods healthy, go for high Protein. I can pretty much eat anything, just smaller portion and cut back on certain things. I even love ice cream and milk shakes, i just count the calories.

I make sure I have things easily ready.... I get in trouble if I don't have quick options.... I cook lean ground beef with taco mix and put it in measured amounts and then throw it in the freezer... when I'm ready, I throw it in the microwave, top with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce chopped tomatoes. Having things like that ready to go in minutes really helps me with variety when I am stuck feeling like I'm eating the same things, but don't really want to make the effort to cook all the time... Good luck!

Carbonated drinks? Most banders aren't even allowed to drink them.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
