What is your food weakness, (demise)?

Recommended Posts

  1. I am such a potato chip (Doritos, Salsa Flavor)
  2. Peanut butter - ice cream, candy or jar of this but I am just a big nut for Peanut Butter

Since surgery I have been really good. I don't go around, eat or even shop in these aisles anymore. :clap2:

Question too, are there any people that are nearing their goal weight but are having problems with the last 10 - 15lbs? If so, do you think that your favorite food plays a part in the resistance?

food, in general. Nothing in particular....anything. All it has to do is be there...Ugh! (But I haven't cheated once this week!)

Cookies with milk and any kind of Ice Cream! Ugh, and how easy those still go down with the band. I try to stay out of those isles too..somedays are better than others....

My biggest things are chips, bread, and Pasta

seeing as how I don't have hunger right now the chips are no big deal. And since so many people have trouble with bread and pasta, I am going to choose to believe that they will cause problems and not go there. I will never be able to eat the chips in enough volume to harm me too bad as long as I am careful.

I just realized if you would have asked me this question before banding Pasta would have been out of my mouth in a second and then bread right afterwards....it took me about 6-7 months after the band and not eating those foods anymore, atleast not in any kind of volume like I used to, to find new things I really started craving. I never was much of a sweets person until now after the band...

I am an absolute cheetos freak and french fries. And much to my dismay they go down fine now. I have trouble with some mushy things but no trouble at all with crunchy salty things. Gotta learn to stay away!

I love Pasta but the only pasta I have tried since banding is orzo...couldn't effectively chew it...so only had a couple of bites...that's on my no no list.

pizza, PIZZA, PIZZA............I love it like no tomorrow and my kids also love PIZZA........the good thing is we do not order it all the time so that is my saving grace. Actually, LEDOs is my favorite pizza place.

I have several favorites but my number one was pizza. DH & I would order a specialty pizza and wings every Friday from PizzaHut. I would eat pizza and wings on Friday and Saturday but I haven't had a slice of pizza since being banded. Breads will not go down, which is a good thing. Since my banding, I get my DH a personal pan when he wants it.

chocolate, which still goes down fine.

Bread...sandwiches of all kinds or bread with Greek salad or toasted ham and cheese...I have been very good though. I'm five weeks post op and didn't even try bread until last week. I toasted a couple of slices and put in cheese and ham. Could eat some but now have had first fill and am back to being wary if not scared!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
