I feel your pain k@t. I am on day 5 of low carbs and it is killing me. I have lost about 5 pounds though! I'm pretty lucky that my doc didn't require a liquid diest preop.... I would have died!

I felt like I was dying last night my stomach wouldn't stop hurting. I'm feeling a bit better this morning after a Protein Shake and a yogurt. I'm going to make sure to fill up on veggie Soup this afternoon and again for dinner. I think the chicken soup was ruining it.

Keep at it K@t...it does make a difference.

I lost 16 lbs during my two week pre-op diet and the dr said my liver was excellent and it made the surgery much easier to do. Just keep thinking of the light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep at it!! Honestly, if I can do it, anyone can!!

I was banded on April 4, 2006, and I was on pre-op for two weeks and it was very rough. To be quite honest I had to cheat a little because I felt faintish. Though my cheat was a very small portion of Alaskan Crab legs without any butter or cocktail sauce it made me feel much better and removed the jitters. I am not encouraging you to do this but that is my song and dance. As it turned out my surgeon said my liver was so well prepared for the surgery and it went exceptionally well. I'm excited for you, please keep up posted after you have been all banded up.

Today I started my liquid diet... now my doctor said if you can see through it you could have it!! I do three Protein Drinks per. day! My surgery date is May 4th! I can't wait.. maybe they will call me earlier! I'm sure I will struggle as the week goes on! good luck to all!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
