Pain is the right word for me. I was in a great deal of discomfort, mostly from being blown up with CO2 for the surgery. My first three days post op were not fun, but on my 5th day now, I'm feeling soooo much better. I did and will continue to walk walk walk!

Oooops I meant pain is NOT the right word for me :)

Not at all.... in fact I never took any pain meds. The only discomfort I had was the gas for about a week.

I was in pain and took meds for a couple of days. Kept me up at night.

Hi,

I had my surgery on 12/21/12 and was walking that night. Pain was not bad at all.

I had surgery yesterday and my port is sore. Is that normal?

I think it's definitely normal. I couldn't so much as sleep on my stomach for at least two weeks post op. now at four weeks it doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks. Is there any way to relieve the gas pains?

My port hurt for about 3 days and is now just uncomfortable. I'm 6 days post op.

As for gas, chewable gas x worked a little for me but mostly walking helped the best.

I never took the gas x. Every store in my vicinity seemed to be out of the strips. I used a heating pad and walking...kept the pain from gas to a bare minimum.

Thanks. Is there any way to relieve the gas pains?

The best relief is to walk as much as you can and use a heating pad.

I had very little pain.
