  4. My husband is doing the same thing. He knows that I would want to eat it so for the most part he has been cooking for my kids and him. And if I start dinner I'll tell him I have to get out of the kitchen and he takes over :-). I have a great husband

  6. Hey everyone!!!!! It's getting exciting that most have had their bands and the rest is about too.... I was wondering for the ones that did have their bands what did u take to the hospital with you. I have an overnight stay and I was just seeing what you brought or would've brought. Thanks :-)
  7. AHHHHH I always remember stuff after the fact......... Also, I've noticed that everyone's preop diet can be different. It all depends on your surgeon. But some diets on here can have green veggies while like mine and more can only have shakes with some others. Only follow what your surgeon tells you to do. That way you don't mess your self up. I truly hope this helps.
  8. Sorry I started this reply in my other post. It all depends on your insurance as to what's required of you. The preop diet is what is prescribed to you from your medical team esp from your surgeon. You have to do the preop because they want the liver to shrink because it sits right on top of your stomach so less is better bc they have to move it out of the way. I hope this helps
  9. Sorry I actually had to lol my brother taught my 3yr old son suck it up buttercup lol. But anyhow yes it is insane. I haven't had the number 2 issue yet thank God, but I know it's coming soon. And my husband told me the same thing. I am on

  12. Don't worry I completely understand. I started my preop on Wednesday. And my surgeon told me that I could feel like I'm going to be sick and be light headed for a few days. And they are right but they said it should pass
  13. I completely understand tomorrow is my preop appointment and I'm bloated and IVE GAINED WEIGHT IN 2 weeks. I'm so scared they are going to tell me I have to wait :-(

  21. I'm July 29th. Too!!!!! Totally can't wait. I'm driving my husband batty because I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! I scheduled my surgery at my last appointment. I still have the end of my 6 month supervised diet on the 1st!!!! Woo hoo!!!! We've all made it this far!!!!!
  22. Wow, is all I can say to start this post. I don't know how to convey what's running through my head. When i started my journey in early 2013 I couldn't continue due to insurance purposes. It felt like all was lost :-( but!!!! In late 2013 hubby's work switched insurances and wls is covered. I believe my whole world changed at that point. Going through the struggle of being over weight and depressed has taken a toll but on July 29th I am going to have my surgery. I can't wait!!!! It's been a long journey to get to this point but I'm happy where I'm at today. I want to say thank you to everyone on here for all the support. And those of you that have similar situations to Mine I wanna say hang in there!!!!!
  23. Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone lost weight on their pre-op diet and if so how much?
  24. Thank you. Man. Right now my surgeon has me taking the sugary stuff out of my diet. Cookies ice cream cake pie. Ahhhhh I'm totally addicted not going to lie lol. I did go through and got rid of things and now I'm realizing omw how did I forget that lol. I'm trying to do good and Lord knows I'm failing terribly at this right now. But!!! The end has not come and I can get through this. Thank you everyone for your support and Advice i appreciate it
  25. Hey everyone I was wondering if when ur surgeon placed you on your pre op diet if you struggled in the beginning. And if u had cravings for something how did u suffice it?
