mucus problems?

Recommended Posts

i have such a huge problem with mucus,

i was told to take claritin d , so i bought the 24 hour, only to find a pb after the pill swelled to 3/4 inch big.

i was just adjusted, last week, and cant keep much down,

50% of the time i cant even keep Water down, ..

how do you all live with the feeling of stuff siting in your top stomach, i t makes me want to yuck or want to flush it down with liquids,

i had the lap band for 3 months and lost 1 pound,

this last week i lost 9, but i cant flush things past my band like i used to be able to .

anyhelp???

Try returning to liquids for a few days. If you have been PBing then you probably have some swelling. The mucus comes when things are stuck. If you keep your stoma clear for a while it should all settle down. Let everything get back to normal. Make sure you can have liquids and that you are having shakes with protein....if you can't handle liquids then you should see your Doc.....If the pills aren't sustained release, then you can crush them and put them in your liquids.....good luck, but give your Doc a call........

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
