I think i need my fill!!!

Recommended Posts

So, I've been doing well since I had surgery on the 21st of December. I've lost 33lbs so far. This week I have really been hungry! I don't know if its stress from work or if I'm really hungry, but I think it's stress. Is it normal to get hungry again a few weeks out? Will the fill help? I don't get it until Feb 4th. I'm worried!

Bandster hell. Very normal. For now this is a will power diet. Buy a food scale and start weighing your Protein, then low cal/fat veggies until satisfied.

Yes, perfectly normal. You have healed from the surgery and although the band is in place, it hasn't been adjusted yet so it cannot start to work for you. As Honk says, at the moment this is entirely in your hands.

it is also normal for people to gain some weight in this period but it doesn't have to happen. You can harness the excitement and motivation of your surgery journey for a bit longer to stay on track, follow the band rules and continue to lose weight while you are getting fills and moving towards that elusive green zone.

Best of luck.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
