My name is Andrea, from Maine. I'm excited about having Lap-Band. I've had all my testing and consults done. Just waiting for insurance to approve. Can't wait to get my band! Look forward to support and info from all you guys! :whoo:

Time seems to go very slowly when you are waiting for approval. After 3 weeks of waiting I called my Dr.'s office and asked them if I should call my insurance company and find out what was holding my approval up. They said yes, I did, and after 1 more call to the office I was approved that afternoon. During the waiting time I ate everything I thought I would miss. Not such a good thing to do!:guess

Thanks Carol, Good info. I'm off to Florida for 2 weeks tomorrow. when I get back I will DEFINATELY follow up! I'm also trying to eat better....protein first! Thanks for the post

Surgery has been approved. I have my Final consult with my surgeon on May 22nd!
