Boots and calves

Recommended Posts

Ok ladies, when am I gonna be able to wear these sassy knee boots I just bought? I an down to a size 16 from a 20 in two months since surgery, but these boots are still not zipping up much higher than my ankle. I am 5 ft 3 and 195 right now.

Got any tips to get my calves smaller? Or do you know what size you were when you could zip your boots?

I couldn't wear knee high boots when I was a size 6. God "blessed" me with muscular calves :-(

Same here...always have had large muscular calves, boots have never fit, even as a size 9.. You may have to look for boots made for larger calves. Good luck!

OMG! That is one of my LapBand bucket lists items! I can't wait until I'm skinny enough to wear knee high boots.. even UGG boots over my jeans or leggings! I'm right there with you girl!

I have a problem with getting boots past my ankle. I have a lympdema in my leg. I finally was able to get the zipper past my ankle. So that was a great NSV for me.

I finally was able to zip mine over the calf. Such a great feeling. I was a 14-16 when I was able to. Different styles make a difference, too. I saw where Macy's had some boots marked wide-calved boots for the interim. You will get there. Good Luck!

I buy wide calf boots and just got a couple pair from layne Bryant that fit! I'm 218 lbs size 16/18. Some times I have to scrunch them down, zip them and then pull them up, I love boots:-)

I am still at 268 (down 50!) and I am 5'8" and have been able to wear the wide called boots from Lane Bryant even before surgery? I can't wait for the reg calve Uggs though!

I have lost 220 lbs....weigh 157 and still have fat ankles and calves. Once I recover from my Tummy Tuck I have to figure out what will work in the way of exercise.... Boots aren't even on my radar unfortunately....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
