Im having my surgery 6 am Monday, and my Mother just informed me that she won't be offering me any kind of support whatsoever because she disagrees with the surgery because she thinks it's too risky, and that I could lose weight on my own. Her words were so hurtful, and this happening one week after my boyfriend broke up with me, and surgery in less than 48 hours is just so painful and overwhelming

I wish I loved near you because I would take you to the hospital and then take you home when you were done. Being a mom myself I can't imagine NOT supporting my daughter in something she felt so strongly about.

You have made the right decision to go forward. There are a lot of people on here who will support you. If you want,, you can always start conversations on here with members if you maybe want things a little more private. But I will say a prayer for you because I know you are going though some pretty rough stuff. ((((Hugs)))))

Thank you for the tips:) you are an inspiration, not just for the lapbanders, but for us plicationers too. It's scary sometimes getting a procedure done that is so new. But let's face it, they were all new at some point. That being said their isint many people to talk to regarding my procedure so I appreciate any and all input/advise you have:) I have to say I'm not hungry per say, but am a little sick of the full

liquid stage as I have to do 2 full weeks of it. 10 days to go! I don't have very much energy. I'm not sore, I wonder if its the minimal calories I get? Prob around 300-500 right now. So the thought of expending more energy on excersizing... Well exhausts me lol

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
