Day 3 and I feel a little dizzy

Recommended Posts

Well, not really dizzy but almost like itsy bitsy black outs; does that make sense? Does or has any one else felt like this right after surgery? I had surgery on Monday.

I was feeling dizzy and spaced out after my surgery and my nutritionist said it could either be dehydration and suggested I drank more Water or, if you suffer from high blood pressure this is a normal reaction to the sudden weight loss. Whatever it was, it disappeared after 10days. If you're concerned speak to your doctor or nutritionist.

U hope you feel better soon.

Kerry

Are you still on pain medication or nausea meds? Either of these can cause that fuzzy feeling. Also, if you are sitting more than usual, it could be hyper-static blood pressure. Try standing still for a few seconds when you get up to walk around and that may help.

Thank you! I just took my blood pressure and it is 130/89. Not good, not bad. Unfortunately the pain meds he gave me didn't work at all so I'm only on Advil. I do drink a lot of Water.... I was thinking that maybe I'm not getting what my body needs but I'm following the diet. Does anyone take Vitamins or did you this early on?

Thanks everyone!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
