So it's been two years since I got my lapband, now I'm 88lbs lighter. I'm looking into getting a Tummy Tuck but I'm afraid that my pump site will show too much, because it shows already. What do you think?

If that is the only thing stopping you I would investigate having your port changed to a low profile one and possibly repositioned.

I am having mine on 12/18. My bariatric Dr said he could install a low profile port. My plastic surgeon said he didnt think it was necessary that he could work around it.... so I am going to leave it alone and hope for the best. My port isnt very visable all the time... just occasionally.

Best wishes floridays! My surgeon said he is repairing a infected port for a non-patient, becuae her plastic sugeon didn't know what he was doing.

i talked ot him today, I told him how jealous I am about one of his PA's and he said she is 1/2 your age. but, I am still jealous of her flat tummy. Karen

thanks

Luckily my plastic surgeon does a lot of work with my bariatric dr so both know each others work.... I am hoping the port doesn't stick out too badly.

I have a frowning belly button and a few folds I am so excited to get rid of

The excess skin and a taught tummy will be the crowing jewel

Hi I got my Tummy Tuck last month. Before I had it, my lap band dr did a port revision. My insurance covered if because I complained of port pain. It's very small. The tummy tuck moved the port and its now an inch left from my belly button. So be aware your port may relocate with the TT surgery. My plastics guy said that it moved when he tightened the abdominal muscles.

Ps keep an eye on your belly button post TT. I thought if was a little infection but the dungeon said it was because the belly button wasn't healing due to diminished blood supply. I had a bb revision yesterday so hopefully it heals this time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
