Popcorn???

Recommended Posts

I've seen that popcorn (healthy) can be bad for banisters due to seeds, but then I've seen that some eat it as a healthy snack. Thoughts?

I eat small servings of popcorn, but never the hard seeds that partially crack. Never had a problem, but I will be interested in what others post.

Ok, quilty, so quilty. popcorn is my one vice. I gave up everything else, soda, alcohol, sweets, potato chips, bread......... I have been able to eat popcorn the entire time. I can eat about 1-2 cups depending on how my band is responding. I buy the small bags, 100 calorie ones, pop them, spray, I can't believe it's butter on it and some fresh ground pepper. I do chew the heck out of it but it is the one thing I really enjoy as a snack, it satisfys my urge for salty Snacks.< /p>

I eat popcorn as well,. And, like Cheryl, I eat the semi popped ones too. I buy the 94% fat free kind. Right now I have the Walgreen's Nice brand. It's pretty good.

My biggest fear going into this was no popcorn............I love popcorn and eat it 3 times aweek and it is amazing to me any way how eating it a few kernels at a time vs. handfuls at a time it takes about a cup and a half to fill me up. I LOVE MY POPCORN .... I left MANY THINGS BEHIND BUT THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN REALLY HARD... I eat mine with the spray butter.

You can eat it.......but. It isnt a good idea to swallow unpopped kernels. I don't eat it by the handful anymore,,, i eat them one or 2 at a time. I can rarely eat more than a cup at a sitting.

I'm a popcorn fanatic, but I hate any kind of processed popcorn. I find the air popper too inconvenient so I put about 1/8 a cup in a brown lunch sack, microwave that bad boy for about two minutes, throw some Boellners Fiesta Fajita Seasoning on it (no butter) and end up with a great little snack!

I have no problem eating popcorn personally would consider it a slider food. I try not to buy it because I would eat way too much of it and unless you eat it plain is going to be high in salt and possibly fat.

I haven't tried popcorn since way before band date. I've stayed away.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
