Looks great but fish wasn't on my mushy list. I do eat a lot of fish now tho and love it.

Although I did eat tuna... But only because I put it in a blender with sugar and fat free dressing...Yum,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news' date=' but fish is not a mushy. It's a soft food, depending on how it's prepared. The only way it could be a mushy is if you put it through a blender.

Mushies are just that- mushy. Think baby food consistency.[/quote']

Your not I'm following my weekly paper from my doctor and soft foods to them are mushy foods. I can have fish, tuna, chicken salad, eggs etc. so I guess I should say soft foods instead of mushy. But thanks but I am on the right food right now. :)

My doctor also goes directly from liquids for 14 days, then soft foods for 7 days and then on day 21, real food!! No mushy phase i guess. Omg, i have never been so excited to eat cottage cheese, oatmeal, and egg salad in my entire life..lol! Ive had it with liquids and drinking my meals.

Crazy, how all surgeons are different. I had fish also on my diet list menu in mushy stages, I just didn't want to touch it. However, I did blend tuna from the can. LOLOL

oh, and like you I didn't have a 'mushy' stage it was just considered a 'soft' stage..isnt that wild.. I think, surgeons all around bariatric should unite...

I really wish they would. It would make our lives so much easier!! I wish they'd have a set post op diet standard for all Lap Band patients!

Yeah that's another thing that should be standardized. I didn't have a pre-op diet either, but my post op diet was brutal. I was liquids for the first 4 weeks after surgery. I thought I was going to starve to death for sure lol.

Thankfully, none of us did die! Common terminology would help!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
