Help Going Away For Week End

Recommended Posts

There is no reason you should be a party pooper. You can eat, just make wise choices and very small portions and bites. Chances are no one will even notice and if they do say something, be honest and tell them you're trying yo lose weight!

Yes, if you're on a regular diet there's no reason you can't go and have a good time. I'm sure there will be healthy choices for breakfast & dinner. Eat slow, chew a lot, Protein first, veggies& good carbs.

Isn't it funny how we relate being away as a food thing? Enjoy your surrounding company , where you're at, who you're with and only eat for nutrition, not as entertainment.

Have a wonderful time!

I travel for work and probably spend 3 months of the year in hotels and eating out. If you are on a regular diet, you can eat anything, just make smart choices.

Have fun.

Its all about portions and food selecrion. During my 22 months of losing I went on several vacations, numerous business trips. I never gained a pound and actually lost 3 lbs on my most recent vacation...

We only sabatoge ourselves....

if you want, have some healthy (on the go Snacks with you) Protein bars, nuts, veggies/fruit....and of course there are options available to put into you bottled Water (crystal light and so on if you like that).....

but like the others, you are not on a diet....eat your allotted amount and choose to eat. and dont over think it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
