I had to take bandages off the second day due to allergic reaction to adhesive. That was fine, just don't remove steri strips.

My clinic made me rip everything off at my 1 week post op appt. Didn't want it to get infected. (depends how you were put back together. I just had steristrips, no outwardly stitches)

I only had glue. Weird but cool at the same time.

Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs

Glue and strips only for me.

You can uncover it when the Dr says to. have you been to your post op visit yet?

Wait for the doctor's input. I only had steri-strips so there may be a reason you have more. It is unlikely the port is under the bandage unless it is very large.
