What are egg shots? What have you found yourself not able to eat?

I'm sorry egg whites. That auto correct is something. I have only followed my doctors diet. I like applesauce, Jello, chocolate pudding, Italian ice is my favorite, creame of wheat is good too. I'm trying to watch my calorie and Protein intake.

I found the Italian ice sugar free today. I'm following also. Yesterday I thought I was dehydrating so I had to force myself to drink more Water and my Protein shake. Didn't wanna end up in the hospital

I need to drink my Protein Shake more regularly. I was also told to eat within a hour of waking up in the morning.

One thing i always need to remind myself is that I can only eat a little bit so what I eat must be nutritious for my body and keep me satisified for a longer period of time. Its been 5 weeks and I'm finally finding my will power. I found out really early at post op that eating junk seems to go down easier than that healthy piece of chicken breast and veggies. But eating a small amount of chips would leave me hungry sooner which equalls more coloric intake in the long run. Even small amounts of bad food will be detrimental to your weight loss. You cared about yourself enough to get this surgery, now its time to love yourself enough to follow through. Its so hard to change bad habits, but if you don't, you won't succeed. Do yourself a favor and through out any food in your house that might lead to empty calories. Never shop when your hungry so you won't make unhealthy choices. Shop high Protein and high Fiber. Not eating the rights foods will also lead to fatigue, Hair loss, and higher amounts of Vitamin deficiences (which we are all succeptable to).

I was banded on 10/24... I was supposed to start mushies, this coming wednesday but I started before that...I dont actually measure but I dont eat anything bad... I eat salmon (mushy) Broccoli, mashed potatoes, salads, and still drink my Soups & Protein Shakes. I am satisfied with the samller portions because of teh Protein I take in in a day, i drink plenty of Water now as well. I eat every 3-4 hours, or a Protein Shake & a piece of fruit or something. I feel completely fine, like normal for the most part. i go for my first fill 11/27... I was also a self pay and wasnt required to diet for 2 weeks

I am really glad you are doing well. I do not know many people on here who would advocate no measuring. This is the time you put in habits for the future. There is no way you can track what you are eating without measuring. Any thing bad would fall into anything over the prescribed amount from your doctor. From one who screwed up really bad in the beginning please take another look at what you are doing. Make sure you write down so doctor can see and maybe see a nutritionist.

My bmi was 38. I had no pre op diet either. I will warn you at 3 wks i could eat very little. At 4 wks i could eat a cow. The stomach inside the band is still swollen at 3 wks. One it goes down your open and feels no different than before surgery. This is the time some gain weight. After your first fill you get some but not much restriction. After my second fill i am almost at my post op feeling state. We are all different , Im just saying how its been for me

I am almost 4 weeks out (oct 15) and I have just started to be hungry after about 2 hours. by 3 hours I'm ravenous. But aside from that I feel GREAT! I am satisfied with the small portions, which was my BIGGEST problem!.

Just wondering when people refer to measuring are you weighing or using measuring cups for everything or using visualization and common sense to stick to no more than a cup/fist size of food?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
