Going Back To Work

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm new here and was banded on Monday. I've been resting all week, but I'm about to go back to work. I still get run down pretty quickly. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!!!

It was 2 weeks before I felt normal. I was banded on a Thursday and thought I would go back on Monday...but that didnt happen. I went back for 1/2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday then full days after that. Best I can tell you is rest when you can. Hopefully you can have help with Laundry and Housework... but if not it will be there when you feel better.

Best of luck to you.

I was banded on 10/24 and was planning on going back to work today, however I just informed my boss that I needed an extra day, so I will be back to work on Monday. I've been able to work from home a few days since my surgery, but physically commuting on the train for 1 1/2 hours still feels challenging to me. Besides, for some reason I am still having gas issues that really hurt and whenever I eat a meal, I immediately feel exhausted afterward. So, I have today and the weekend to get things together for returning to work on Monday. I hope you feel better as well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
