Protein Shots

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Not shakes or drinks looking for shots.

Thanks,

Helen

  • You were right the watermelon is soOooooo bad. What is worse is that the shots irritated my tongue really bad and can't take them.

Sorry dont know of such a thing but why not get your protein from food? My dr doesn't advocate protein shakes or supplements excet pre and 2 weeks post op.

walmart has them. I have not got them but I have been wondering what they taste like/ect

I would say look further into whats really in those shots before you consider them your main source of protein...

The type of protein in them is not very good quality. Also makes me uber gassy.

walmart has them in a variety of flavors as does most grocery stores and now even at convenience stores when you get gas. (i dont like them but i did them usually once a day on my pre ops) and i do have some in my fridge at work just in case i feel i need a (shot). hope this helps :)

ps-the watermelon flavor is the worst...yuk

I take them sometimes but I add water to mine cause I don't like the texture

Just wanted to let you know my nutritionist told me not to take them. If you look at the ingredients the first one is not even protein it's water. I would urge anyone taking these to get them approved. She also said for sure your body is not really getting all the protein some listed can't be absorbed by your body and they are nasty tasting. Plus irritated my tongue really bad.

Yeah...I won't be doing them. Yuck! They sound nasty!!!

Uggh won't do shots but will drink Isopure zero carb (lots of flavor) not syrupy line the shots. 40 grams protein.
