I am getting so anxious, y'all! I have no nerves but the anticipation is killing me. I am just so ready to get back to the normal me before I gained this weight this last year. It's frustrating but I have to remember things are going to change again and all will be well!

I was banded October 29, 2012. Initially I had went from 342lbs to 188lbs. I felt incredible. Over the last year or so I have been having major issues due to the band slipping twice. After the first unfill the band adjusted and went back into place. After the second time they unfilled it they refused to fill it again. Since then I have went from 188lbs to 265lbs and it is devastating to me. I finally spoke up to my surgeon and am now in the process of trying to get approved for the sleeve. When I was trying to gain approval for the lapland surgery it was a pain because even though I was huge, I had little health issues as far as a co-morbidy would go. I finally (BARELY) got approved. This is why I didn't think I had any options due to not having any current health issues. I am just uncomfortable and down on myself for it. The very sweet lady that is helping me get it approved through my insurance thinks even though I don't have any major health issues that due to all my issues( two slips) with the lapland, GERD and weight gain that I may not have a problem getting approved. I know I shouldn't have a problem getting it revised and having it removed. Wondering how hard it would be to have the actual sleeve approved. Anyone have any experience with what I am going through?

I was weighed before. I use my highest weight as my beginning weight.

Thank you so much! I would still like to lose about 30 more lbs. I am trying to find the picture I have from the front. I try to keep up with taking pictures because when I am feeling like I am not making any progress it reminds me of how far I've come!

I should add I have 30 more lbs to lose until I hit my goal weight.

I went from a size 24 to a size 14 jean. I haven't tried anything smaller just yet but it's always so exciting to see that smaller size! Congrats

I did not have the first problem, however, I do not recommend it. I drove home from my parents that night. It was a one hour drive and went back to work that next morning. I felt fine. I have a high pain tolerance though.

I weigh less than my boyfriend and I never thought I would weigh less than a significant other. LOL. Love it! Congrats on the NSV.

I lied on mine too LOL. At the time I only lied by 15 lbs. Over the many years I had it I gained 100lbs. I now weigh 10lbs heavier than what I lied about and I am trying to lose that weight before I renew next Month. That way I can lie again....lol jk. It would be nice to actually not lie this time. Congrats on weighing less than your DL this is a big goal of mine as well.

I have an appointment for a fill on September 9th and my appointment is not until 3:30 Pm which means I can't eat all day! I can have liquids though so maybe I'll sip on some broth for lunch. Lol I am hungry just thinking about it. It will be my first fill in over 3 months.

Thank You Sweet Lady! I dropped 3 lbs the first week! So excited 13 more to go. The band is a comfortable tight right now but I like the restriction I am getting.

Hazel I am by no means a healthcare professional. I might have misunderstood him. I go back the beginning of Oct. If there is still 2.50 in there then I think someone counted wrong LOL. We'll see. I will add though that this is the most restriction I have ever felt with a fill.

I went on the 9th for a fill. I have recently switched to a different doctor that is about 2 hours closer to my home. Purely for convenience. Originally I had Dr. Ken Hollis from Houston (True Results) but he doesn't do the fills himself. I was getting my fills by his PA's. Here is where it gets weird, I switched to Dr Speigle in Port Neches and when he went to check how much fluid I had in my band he stated there was only 2.5 cc's. At the other office they said I had over 4. They said the band looked fine after I did a barium swallow so it hasn't slipped and when I asked Dr. Speigle if I should be concerned and could it be a leak he said no not to be that he use to run True Results and that the PA's do fills there and the amount they fill is off because they do it different. Anybody else run into something like that?

They do them often here too I just haven't been in awhile because I was losing good weight. Its slowed down a lot so I think it's time for another. I am so going to celebrate! I have been slowly buying newer sexier panties the smaller I get LOL! I love it. Not sure what I'll do but I am thinking of definitely rewarding myself somehow. Not the old way I use to reward myself. (Food!) Ohh maybe a sexy pair of boots!
