I Dont Need To Be Criticized

Recommended Posts

I'm here crying my eyes out, I broke down today and ate 2 slices of thin crust pizza . I'm in my mushie phase of the diet so I know I'm not suppose to eat things like that . I feel so bad about what I've done, because I've been doing so well :( I really need some comfort right now :(

i wouldnt banish you from my kingdom or criticize you. why would i? why would anyone?

i wouldnt want that to happen to me.

i feel for you as i know how we treat ourselves.

we are our own worst enemies. ok, so whats done is done. its over now. but please get right back on the journey and follow your dr's orders. they are in place for a reason esp after post op so you can heal.

is it what it is

so make it happen.

dry your eyes

put on them high heels and carry on :)

Honey cheer UP! The damage is already done but try a little harder next time to stick to the requirement as it is important for healing. Just because we "trip up" one moment, does not mean that we are doomed to do so for the rest of our days. Make sure your next meal is what it is supposed to be. You may even want to get a little creative with it. If you are craving a certain food, maybe make some Soup or mashed potatoes, or whatever you are allowed to have at this point and fix it so that is satifies your taste buds but most importantly your hunger within your limits We are all here if you need us! I am rooting for you!

We all get a do-over each day. Next time you get weak, and we all do, just think about the fact that your Doctor wants you on mushies to help you heal correctly...not punish you.

Don't be so hard on yourself, just dust yourself off and look forward.

<----- Giving you a big hug

Its going to be okay, you acknowledged what you did right? Now, acknowledge why you did it? Mistakes are for us to learn, right? shake it off, tomorrow is a brand new day.

Keep smiling :)

To prevent that kind of breakdown again, it might help to think about why it happened, because if you like pizza, it's likely to tempt you again and again. Were you feeling deprived because of being in the mushy food phase? Were you bored, angry, stressed, unprepared with "approved" food? If it happened because you're tired of mushies, remember that phase is temporary and solid food will appear on your plate soon. If it was a case of emotional eating, make a list of 10 things you can do instead of eat the next time you're tempted to eat for comfort. If it's because you didn't have any mushy phase foods with you (in the car, at work, etc.), make a shopping list of easily portable foods (yogurt, pudding, etc.) to keep in the fridge at home and at work.

Cheer up Girl!!!! :D You were courageous enough to admit that to all of us here on LBT, so i'm sure next time you're in a similar situation you will be courageous enough to say NO to the bad foods...don't go beating yourself up no one is perfect...now get back on track we are all routing for you here !!!!!

Hang in there! We're all in the same boat. You're in the right place for support. You made a mistake, all you can do is move forward. Wipe your tears, take a good look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself "I CAN do this, I WILL do this". It gets easier, I promise!

Hey I am not sure what your surgeon would say about this, but mine is okay with ANYTHING that can be blended into a "thick paint consistency". I am sure you can get really creative and blend up the foods that you crave. You may have to add broths and other thinners to blend food this way.

Don't beat yourself up. We are not perfect. Nobody would be on this forum if we were anything close to perfect!

Dust yourself off and move on!

I love pizza. Miss it. Eat it once in a great while but there are lots of alternatives. You can make a really good pizza on a tortilla, put healthy topping on it. yummm. Or on a cracker bread. Remember that when you are back to normal foods. Ya, your in mushies, but if it went down ok, you didn't harm yourself band wise. I mean you didn't get stuck and throw up etc.

Dry your eyes and smile! Best of luck to you!

Oh jeez.. I still eat tons of pizza... Well it feels like tons but it's really very little.. But I have it often and if I count my calories it allowable- for me, that is.

just put it in your tracker and do the counting..dont worry about it in the course of a week it will balance out everything and you have nothing that we all dont do once in a while. Just be accountable and once you fine out you have gone over your daily calories or u did but just a bit you will feel better. well, I always do.

I am suppose to eat 900-1200- cals a day I set the tracker for 1000. just incase I forget something or measured wrong and I stay around 875-890 all the time so if I go over (two bites of pie ) its no big deal and i have allowed for it.

I pretty much follow a weight watch style for eating but never go over my 1 c per meal the 1 c is for comfort the dily cslorie intske is your weight loss. we cn eat whever we want but the band help us with potion and limits while we are learning to eat differantly.

cheer up you are winning. Remember every meal is a restart.

I used to love pizza but after a year of being banded I don't desire it at all. Maybe the same thing will happen to you. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
