  1. I have no problem with bread, except I'm gluten free... So my Gf breads tend to be toastier/crustier than regular bread. I would imagine the gumminess of white bread would do me in. Ugh.
  2. My band was filled 7cc's in a 10cc band! Everyone is different keep going to your appointments!!! Recommit you can do it!!
  3. What a feeling!! Congratulations!!
  4. That's exactly what I thought! Hubby and I watch a fair amount of naughty videos together ((sorry TMI)) and now we just have to deal with the that. I also look at a lot of natural parenting sites and whole food diet/nutrition/news websites, so I get a funky mix of ads lmao
  5. In his eloquence, he loves to tell people "I fell in love with her when she was fat!" Lmao!
  6. I enjoyed every moment of actually losing weight.. Every half pound, (almost) every exercise session, every calorie counted... But mostly every size down! That first year was expensive!!! But going from a size 22 to a size 8 and then a size 6, I reveled in shopping like I never had before! I used to HATE HATE HATE/CRY CRY CRY while shopping. Worst feeling in the world until I was banded... I have never felt so healthy and so complete and so in LOVE with life! I have never felt so SEXY. And it amazes me still to this day. I don't take a single moment for granted and my bonus... I fell in love with the most amazing man. We met 3 months before my surgery day... And fell in love shortly there after... And he helped me with my journey. He joined a boot camp exercise program, we ran together and participated in 5k's together. He even got me on a bike for the first time in 16 years... And we rode 16 miles that day. What an amazing feeling!
  7. I don't miss my fav foods at all!! I just eat a much smaller amount of then pizza, even sandwiches (if the bread is toasty enough), I even splurge occasionally on a piece of chocolate or some chips BUT I tend not to overdo it anymore. Thanks to my band <3 I love you, band.
  8. Good job on the changes!! It will only make your journey more successful!! And good luck!
  9. Trust me, you will not feel deprived that's how the band works! Trust yourself and keep talking to your nutritionist!
  10. My next favorite are the zone bars. I have to stick to a gluten free diets and these are what I would have after my hot yoga sessions (I'd burn 930 calories in a session) those and a kind bar was always good after warrior dash (5k obstacle course)
  11. Have you tried the "kind" bars? Those are my favorite, but you can have stuck episodes if you don't chew thoroughly.
  12. Virgin Marguerita (I'm preg go) and home made nachos
  13. Soups, yogurts, protein shakes, cottage cheese... Also jello an pudding the sugar free kind.
  14. That sounds like coagulated blood! That's almost always due to a slip or erosion!! That is a major red flag. Did they schedule you for and upper gi scope? Endoscopy??? I would request one!!
  15. Be sure the stay on liquids and then mushies for as long as your doc specifies.. Each fill comes with a little swelling so once you're passed those first few days, the tightness may lessen. But everyone is different. You may need only a fill or two before reaching your green zone. Others may need more. And as you lose, the band may become less restricting due to loss of fatty tissue. It sure is a journey! Good luck!
  16. I think everyone is different. I had 7cc's in my 10cc band. I didn't have any problems except I would occasionally get stuck. I then would take a sip of something and that would help. My band was completely unfilled at 16 weeks due to a nasty virus that caused severe vomiting. I never had any mornin sickness and stayed filled until that point! Talk to your surgeon and good luck!
  17. Your surgeon knows best! I would schedule a consult! Good luck
  18. I am 23 weeks along an had to be emptied at 16 weeks due to a nasty virus with some severe vomiting. My surgeon said that although I hadn't had the morning sickness is was unwise to stay filled due to moving organs. As the baby grows and organs get pushed up, so too does the band and pressure on the band is well, no bueno. It can cause a slip in some cases. My weight gain was normal to that point. I'm now reaching the Mac what I "should" gain the entire pregnancy (I was 127 pre preg. Gain should only be 25-35 pounds total and I'm up 26 so far). ::sigh:: we lost it before, we will lose it again!!!!!!
  19. I'm only 23 weeks pregnant but im so looking forward to getting back on track in a fee months... I'm so hungry!! Up 26 pounds since I found out I'm pg. the bulk of that came after I was emptied (due to nasty virus). ::sigh:: gonna walk today. I need motivation. So tired.
  20. Try hot coffee or tea before u eat in the morning, it tends to relax those muscles that may be tighter in the morning (also since it is so soon after a fill, it might just be residual swelling that will subside in a day or so!)
  21. I can't tell you what a boost in energy I've gotten in just 2 days making better choices. I'm looking forward to the end of the pregnancy. Sweet baby boy and after a little while gettin back to working out and hot yoga. I miss it quite a bit.
  22. I had a very hard time with reheated proteins for awhile... I still don't know why it stopped, I find a sauce of some sort helped. Also, being really aware of chewing and using your saliva to moisten helped a lot. Hang in!
